GoTogether
Accessibility guide
Practical guidance for planning a more comfortable and accessible football day.
Plan the day, not just the match
A smoother match day often starts before kickoff.
A little planning around travel, meeting points, crowd conditions, and venue access can make the day feel much more comfortable and enjoyable.
GoTogether is designed to help make that planning easier — especially when going with companions or meeting other supporters along the way.
Before you go
A few things worth checking before heading out:
- Confirm the easiest route and whether step-free or lower-stress routes are available.
- Check entrances, lifts, seating access, toilets, and transport connections if relevant to you.
- Give yourself extra time for queues, security, and leaving after the final whistle.
- Save useful venue or club contact details in case you need them.
- If you are meeting others through GoTogether, agree a clear public meetup point in advance.
Choosing a good meetup point
Public meetup points work best when they are:
- easy to find
- well lit and familiar
- step-free where possible
- not overly crowded or noisy if that matters for you
- close enough to the destination without adding stress
Good meetup points can include:
- outside a station entrance
- a piazza or square
- a landmark near the stadium
- the entrance of a pub or fan zone
Going together
Going with others can make match days easier in practical ways as well as social ones.
A small group can help with:
- navigating unfamiliar places
- sharing travel to the venue
- reducing anxiety around busy environments
- making watch parties and match days feel more welcoming
Using GoTogether
Use GoTogether to:
- discover events and places to watch
- explore venue accessibility information
- create or join community meetups
- coordinate going together with other supporters
Accessibility is personal
There is no single definition of an accessible match day.
What matters can be different for every supporter — mobility, sensory comfort, communication, pacing, confidence, or simply not going alone.
The goal is not perfect planning. It is making the day easier, safer, and more enjoyable.
